The LTC3869EUFD is a high-performance synchronous step-down switching regulator dual controller that drives all N-channel synchronous power MOSFET stages. The constant frequency current mode architecture allows phase locking frequencies up to 780kHz. Power loss and noise due to input capacitor ESR are minimized by operating the two controller output stages out of phase.
OPTI-LOOP® compensation allows optimization of transient response over a wide range of output capacitance and ESR values. The wide input supply range of 4V to 38V covers most battery chemistries. An independent TK/SS pin for each controller ramps the output voltage during start-up. The MODE/PLLIN pin selects between Burst Mode® operation, pulse-skipping mode, or continuous inductor current mode and allows synchronization of the IC to an external clock.
