LM109K
LM109K is a complete 5V regulator manufactured on a single silicon chip. They are designed for the local adjustment of digital logic cards, eliminating the distribution problems associated with single-point adjustment. These devices are offered in two standard transistor packages. In the solid Kovar TO-5 connector, if sufficient heat dissipation is provided, it can provide an output current exceeding 200 mA. Using TO-3 power package, the available output current is greater than 1A. The regulator is essentially blowout-proof. A current limit is included to limit the peak output current to a safe value. In addition, a thermal shutdown is provided to prevent the IC from overheating. If the internal dissipation becomes too large, the regulator will shut down to prevent overheating.
