MC78M15CDTRKG is a 500mA positive voltage regulator in a 3-pin TO-252 package. This positive voltage regulator is the same as the popular MC7800 series devices, except that its rated output current is only half. The three-terminal regulator is used for local and on-card voltage regulation. The combination of internal current limiting, thermal shutdown circuitry, and safe zone compensation of internal pass transistors makes the device very robust under most operating conditions.
